Club President, AJ Callahan, stepped down as President after the team's matches on Tuesday. AJ, who will be away until next semester, turned over most of the day to day duties of President to Matt Hardy who will be acting in AJ's place while he is gone. AJ will still take charge of scheduling, updates, and some other logistical duties, but Matt will be the on campus goto guy until AJ's return in December. After two great matches, and a cooler of water over the head, AJ offered his best wishes to the team, and thanked them for a great but brief season. AJ wishes the club all the best in the next two months and looks forward to his return in December and the kick off of the Spring season in January.
9/ 21 - LC Club Sweeps Competition
The team hosted its first play day at Lynchburg College of the year on Sunday. After an intense 85 minutes, LC scored the only goal of the game to take a 1-0 lead and eventual victory over UMW. LC later went on to defeat Hampden Sydney College 5-3 in the team's first match under the lights on Shellenberger Field. If this is a preview of what is to come this season, the team is looking to be an amazing fighting force on the pitch.

The Fall of 2008 marks the start of a new system for club sports at LC. Clubs will be given points for certain things and have points taken away for certain things. There are a total of 12 categories in which clubs can earn points and a total of 6 ways for clubs to lose points. A more detailed description of the point system can be found using the link below. This will add a new competitive edge not only for each club in their respective sport, but with each other on campus as well.
