JMU Play Day Recap Continued
Coach Matt Hardy decided to mix things up a bit. Players tried a couple new positions and the team tried a new formation. JMU came out strong as expected. Becausse of great coaching and some great play, LC held the game at 0-0 for most of the game. The first goal of the game came late when JMU scored from a cross from the end line which went off the hip of a defender and dribbled across the line into the net. LC had many, many chances all around the field but just couldn't finish. "This was the best game that we played all season" acting President and coach Hardy said. The team ends the Fall 08 season with a final record of 4-5. After the game, Hardy said that the players seemed to have a new will and desire for the Spring season. Players could not stop talking about how well the team came together in the last game and are all optomistic that the team will do very well next season if this attitude keeps up. The team is in the process of applying to NIRSA, a league around the country designed for collegiate club teams. This will add several new opponents to the schedule for the Fall 09 season.
